SMT-S700AB Finishing type fire retardant coating

1. Product introduction

SMT-S/700AB is a water-based two-component decorative fire-retardant coating, which can form a flame-retardant insulating layer on the surface of most foamed or porous substrates, such as wood, paper and other materials. When the fire source is close to the coating, the coating expands rapidly when heated to form a protective carbon layer, which isolates the fire source and protects the substrate.

3, the use of technology

1. Before using this product, the wood needs to be polished and smooth, and the wood should be back-sealed with a water-based primer.

2. Before using this product, spray the substrate with RF-701 thinner. The recommended dosage is 50-80g/m2. If the viscosity of RF-701 thinner is too high, it can be diluted with about 5% water.

3. This product can be applied by brush, roller or spray. During construction, it is recommended that RF-701 diluent: A component: B component, mix in a weight ratio of 1:1:3, and filter with a 100 or 120 mesh filter after stirring evenly. If the viscosity of the system is too high during spraying, it is recommended to add 10-25% water to dilute again, and stir evenly. When spraying, it is recommended to use a large-caliber spray gun and a high-power air pump. The spraying effect is good, and the recommended amount of each application is 90- 120g/m2.

4. After treating the wood with RF-701 thinner, and drying it for about 30min, SMT-S/700AB can be used. If the wood surface is slightly sticky, it will not affect the use of SMT-S/700AB.

5. The recommended amount of wet glue is 400-600g/m2. The coating principle of the product is a small amount of times. It is necessary to wait for the previous coating to dry before applying the next coating, otherwise the coating may be whitened.

4. Matters needing attention

1. The RF-701 diluent is diluted with water, and it is recommended that the amount of water should not exceed 10%.

2. When spraying SMT-S/700AB, it is recommended that the water consumption should not exceed 25%. The more water, the longer the coating curing time.

3. Operation in rainy days should be avoided during construction. It is recommended to use in a well-ventilated environment with air humidity < 60%, temperature > 20 °C, and after the coating surface is dry for 24 hours, use waterproof varnish to cover the surface in time to protect the internal fireproof coating.

4. After the product is fully stirred and mixed, please use it within 2 hours, otherwise it will slowly solidify.

5. The flame retardant effect is directly related to the spray amount. The more spray amount, the better the flame retardant effect.

5. Packaging and storage requirements

1. Packed in 20Kg plastic barrels.

2. Store in a cool and dark place (5-30℃), the shelf life is 3 months.
